Meet the team #3
The latest subject of our cheeky peer through the on-set monitor is Katharine Bennett-Fox, who plays long-suffering Gloucestershire Police Chief Peta Holm. Suspicious of Sorensen and compassionate to long-term colleague Flitcroft, Holm wields the axe when the cops' antics get out of hand. A stage and screen regular and an actor of incredible range, you may recognise Katharine from sitcom Borderline, feature Nina Forever, or coming up in the TV adaptation of Four Weddings & A Funeral. Absolute delight to have her on the cast.

Meet the team #2:
Charlie Kemp (Emmerdale, Judge John Deed, White Gold, the Nation's Dad in a host of major commercials) plays shady Somerset Mayor Graham Splayne. A real dinosaur of local government, Splayne's suspicious links to the victim place him in the frame for our hapless cops. Does he know more than he's letting on? Find out when Spokke is released 16 August.

We have a release date! You can see the full 5 x 5 min-episode miniseries of Spokke on Punkanary On-Demand from 16 August - woohoo!
In the meantime, we were absolutely blessed with a cast packed full of mega-talents, so let us introduce you to them via the medium of behind-the-scenes shots over the next couple of weeks.
First up: Alison Thea-Skot (The Free Association, Uncle Glen's Menagerie, Sorry, Newsjack) plays Greta Nielsen, Somerset's most prominent velo-mortician. Sharp as a tack, and with a long history of dealing with Detective Sorensen's foibles, Greta is not best pleased by the arrival of a second idiot in the shape of Flitcroft, especially one from the barbaric wilds of Gloucestershire.
If you're in Edinburgh for the Fringe, you can see Alison's smash solo show at Edinburgh Fringe for a very limited run on 13 & 14 August at Monkey Barrel. It is genuinely one of the funniest shows you will ever see. More on Alison's work here https://www.alisontheaskot.com

We are in the edit! Cut is just about ready to be fully beautified by our colourist and musical majesty from our composer Chris Penty. Very excited to bring the full series of Spokke to Punkanary in the coming weeks! 5 full 5-min episodes hurtling your way. Watch this space

The writing, acting, directing and editing team of Spokke are all improvisers based out of London's The Free Association Theatre. This informs the way we work collaboratively and flexibly on-set and establishes a common tone of voice. We'd cast from these connections.
Even so, we can't work in a vacuum, and we'd love to make some new connections on the technical side of things especially. We got really lucky availability-wise with our Spokke team, so we're keen to meet and build a pool of more cinematography, sound and production legends to collaborate with.
