WHEN YOU HIT ROTHBOTTOM: Amelia Buckmore is a Nikki Rothbottom scholar living the #phdlife in 2029. Her funding to study the enigmatic creature that is Rothbottom, has been rejected. She's doing it anyway! Join Buckmore recover an under-researched era in the aggressively adolescent period of the 21st Century where little-known vlogger, blogger Nikki Rothbottom tried to take over the life of instafamous #trustfundbaby Richard Wardrobe after being rejected from reality TV show ‘Kooked in Kensington’.
Buckmore says: Rothbottom has a plan involving one of the Kensington elite, Richard Wardrobe, but she needs to get creative when his troublesome boyfriend, Boutaje, gets in the way. How far will Nikki go to be known, liked, loved?
When You Hit Rothbottom shines a light on the passive roles women have been conditioned to play in society and how these can spill into unhealthy behaviours to seek control. Challenging the ‘Bunny Boiler’ stereotype that has been prevalent in Film and TV, the series unites two women who are separated by time, space and culture. We are all trying to work out who we are and how we fit in (whether we're an intellectual or lifestyle vlogger) some of us are just a little more enthusiastic about it: Meet Amelia Buckmore and Nikki Rothbottom.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. Would you like to see Nikki, Dickie and Boutaje's adventures continue? Then please continue to support the show.
Budget for teaser: Crew and kit (including transportation): £985 Props: £20 Catering: £100
We'd really appreciate any donations towards our first shoot.

Did Nikki really care for Jean-Claude? How does one become bi these days? And who is a putain? Watch this video to find out.
Dear Reader,
Much recent scholarship has covered the engagement rituals of heterosexual couples in the aggressively, adolescent period of the early 21st Century a.k.a the teens. I, however, have honed in on a niche area that no one has ever researched -- the use of nail polish in these social media engagement posts and more specifically what the choice of color means.
Nikki Rothbottom is a curious creature and her choice of nail color reveals her real feelings for Jean-Claude -- that person who led her to Boutaje during her sojourn in France. What happened when Rothbottom returned to London? That's what I'm working on right this second. To monitor my progress (and please do because my PhD supervisor is rather absent) head on over to my good friend's instagram: @samanthamorrishishere - she does all my admin for me because I'm an academic and I don't have the skills for that kind of thing (ha ha ha).
Recovered by Amelia Buckmore (a.k.a moi) in the Nikki Rothbottom YouTube archive, this fascinating footage shows that Rothbottom was once engaged to a man called Jean - Claude.
I have found some fascinating footage in the Nikki Rothbottom YouTube archive. All I can say at this point is #engaged. I'll be sharing it with you real soon.
My funding application has been rejected! If, like me, you would like to see my thesis on Rothbottom bought to life by way of an episodic series then please donate via Punkanary. I will list you in the acknowledgements and tell you how grateful I am because I am.
Please watch my vlog for all the details and share with other Rothbottom scholars. There may not be many of us, but we do exist.
I'm Amelia Buckmore and I am a Nikki Rothbottom scholar studying for a PhD in the digital humanities. I'm applying for a scholarship to help fund my fascinating research on Rothbottom. Fingers crossed!
Like my subject, Rothbottom, I am experimenting with the art form of the vlog. It may be an outdated medium in 2029, but I'm a romanctic for anything from a bygone era.
